This role is for an architect who enjoys solving complex challenges, driving modernization, and building cloud environments where security and scale matter.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You will turn mission needs into<strong> secure, scalable cloud and hybrid solutions</strong>, define architectural standards, and guide engineering teams to deliver resilient platforms aligned with <strong>Zero Trust</strong> and enterprise security best practices.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>**This is a pipeline requisition designed to collect resumes for potential upcoming work at AMERICAN SYSTEMS and does not represent a current opening. Qualified candidates will be contacted when an opening/funding becomes available**</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As an AMERICAN SYSTEMS <strong>Senior Security Cloud Architect</strong>, you will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and govern secure enterprise cloud architectures aligned with mission objectives.</li>\n <li>Define and enforce Zero Trust cloud architectures aligned with NIST SP 800‑207.</li>\n <li>Serve as the Government‑facing authority for cloud security architecture decisions.</li>\n <li>Define cloud governance frameworks, standards, and architectural guardrails.</li>\n <li>Integrate ACE cloud solutions with NRO enterprise IT and security services.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain cloud reference architectures and design artifacts.</li>\n <li>Advise engineering teams on security, performance, cost, and resiliency tradeoffs.</li>\n <li>Provide architectural guidance and evidence to support audits and assessments.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Active <strong>TS/SCI</strong> clearance and current <strong>polygraph </strong>(<em>required for consideration</em>)</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field</li>\n <li>10+ years of enterprise IT experience, including 5+ years in cloud architecture roles</li>\n <li>DoD 8570/8140 IAM Level III certification (<em>e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM</em>)</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience leading enterprise or multi‑system cloud architecture initiatives</li>\n <li>Experience developing and maintaining architecture documentation in regulated or classified environments</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of cloud governance, security architecture, and compliance frameworks</li>\n <li>Experience supporting hybrid and/or multi‑cloud environments</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>**This is a pipeline requisition designed to collect resumes for potential upcoming work at AMERICAN SYSTEMS and does not represent a current opening. The salary range for this position is USD $159,600.00/Yr. - USD $266,500.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
