Learn more about our amazing facility at https://www.lecontemedicalcenter.com/about-leconte-medical-center/. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Provides prescribed medications, drugs and other pharmaceuticals as needed for adequate patient care according to professional standards and practices.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Compounds, labels and packages medications and pharmaceuticals.</li>\n <li> Advises patients and family on use of various medications including dosage, side effects and composition.</li>\n <li> Ensures secure storage of narcotics and other controlled substances on a regular basis.</li>\n <li> Checks stock on a regular basis to identify and reorder outdated stock and ensure that stock is maintained in accordance with manufacturer requirements.</li>\n <li> Assists in preparing required reports by compiling information.</li>\n <li> Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs as well as safety, environmental and infection control standards in the performance of work duties.</li>\n <li> Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.</li>\n <li> Attend meetings as required and participates on committees as directed. Attends and serves on professional/civic service organizations as hospital representative.</li>\n <li> Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.</li>\n <li> Monitor anticoagulation service patients per protocol.</li>\n <li> Monitor medication doses, interactions, and other critical pharmacokinetic effects and report information to physicians and other patient care staff as appropriate. Perform interventions per protocol.</li>\n <li>Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.</li>\n <li> Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Education:</strong>            </p>\n<p>None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Experience:</strong>          </p>\n<p>Completion of internship.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Licensure Requirement:</strong>       </p>\n<p>Current TN pharmacist license.</p>",
