Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Novelis has approximately 13,000 employees in 32 operating facilities on 4 continents.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Novelis has an exciting opportunity for a Production Operator at our Ashville, OH facility, offering a competitive wage of $22.19 – $25.27 (+ $.50/hr per hour shift differential). </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Production Operator you will be placed in one of our various departments after your initial orientation.  Job responsibilities may include trimming width or painting/coating large aluminum coils using industrial machines.  Our shipping department is responsible for receiving and shipping materials with the use of industrial mobile equipment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Does this sound like your next opportunity? Apply today! </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operation of machine equipment and/ or running manual tasks in order to maintain safety, operational efficiency and quality of the product or goods handled.</li>\n <li>Ensure timely and accurate production.</li>\n <li>Moderate lifting and bending  </li>\n <li>Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. to unload, move, stack and load various materials.</li>\n <li>Comply with:\n  <ul>\n   <li>General Plant Policies</li>\n   <li>Plant Safety and Housekeeping Policies and Programs</li>\n   <li>Plant Environment Policies and Programs</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Adhere to and support company quality, environmental, health & safety, and certification standards, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, IATF 16949:2016, and ASI Certifications, where applicable.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>The willingness to work nights, weekends and holiday shifts as we operate 365 days a year.</li>\n <li>Dependable, team-player who can demonstrate initiative.</li>\n <li>Basic computer, math and reading skills.</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift and /or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.</li>\n <li>Ability to handle paint and coater solvents safely.</li>\n <li>Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment. </li>\n <li>Ability to climb up and on plant equipment, and such activities as walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, driving carts, occasional reaching with hands and arms, and climbing stairs to reach plant offices and equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1+ years of experience in production/manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.</li>\n <li>Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (i.e. forklift).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Military MOS Crosswalk can include but is not limited to:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Army</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>12N – Horizontal Construction Engineer</li>\n <li>21E/12E – Construction Equipment Operator</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Navy</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>EO – Equipment Operator</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Air Force</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3E2X1 – Pavements and Construction Equipment</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Marine Corps</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1345 – Engineer Equipment Operator</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Location Profile</h2>\n<p>Established in 1971 the Ashville facility is an aluminum finishing plant with coating capabilities. The site receives recycled material that has been processed into a finished aluminum sheet which is used in the manufacturing of gutters, downspouts, soffit fascia, siding, roofing panels window trim and commercial transportation.
