The technician ensures patient safety and comfort while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and clinic policies. Collaboration with healthcare professionals and maintaining detailed records of imaging procedures are essential to support seamless patient care. Ultimately, the role contributes significantly to the clinic&rsquo;s mission of providing timely and precise diagnostic services to improve patient outcomes.</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.</li><li>Valid state licensure or certification as an Xray Technician (ARRT certification preferred).</li><li>Demonstrated experience working in an outpatient clinic or similar healthcare environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of radiographic techniques, anatomy, and radiation safety protocols.</li><li>Basic computer skills for managing patient records and imaging software.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with digital radiography and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).</li><li>Additional certifications in specialized imaging techniques.</li><li>Familiarity with outpatient clinic workflows and patient management systems.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.</li><li>Continuing education or training in the latest radiologic technology advancements.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations on patients following prescribed protocols and physician orders.</li><li>Prepare and position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images while ensuring their comfort and safety.</li><li>Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and reporting any malfunctions promptly.</li><li>Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control procedures to protect patients, staff, and self.</li><li>Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and assist in managing digital imaging systems.</li><li>Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare team members to facilitate timely diagnosis and treatment.</li><li>Educate patients about the imaging process and address any concerns or questions they may have.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><p>The required skills enable the Xray Technician to perform precise imaging procedures that are essential for accurate diagnosis in an outpatient clinic.
