    "description": "<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>A YMCA Swim Instructor provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming lessons.</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Instructs swimming lessons as assigned in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson plans accordingly.</li>\r\n\t<li>Develops positive relationships with members and participants and provides motivational support and guidance.</li>\r\n\t<li>Encourages member and parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers.</li>\r\n\t<li>Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and as appropriate refers members and participants to other programs.</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.).</li>\r\n\t<li>Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.</li>\r\n\t<li>Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.</li>\r\n\t<li>Organizes and puts away needed class equipment.
