In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing horse racing and sports wagers, issuing tickets, and handling payouts while delivering an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.</p>\n<p>This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the live racing and gaming industry, with travel opportunities and the chance to work at multiple racing locations.</p>\n<h3><strong>COMPENSATION & PERKS:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>$20.00/hour during 4-week paid training period</strong></li>\n <li><strong>$18.50/hour plus tips (tokes) once active</strong></li>\n <li>Opportunity to earn <strong>up to $20.00/hour total compensation</strong></li>\n <li>Travel, lodging, and meals provided during racing assignments</li>\n <li>Opportunity to work at multiple live racing locations</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Accurately enter betting information, issue tickets, and process payouts for horse racing and sports wagers</li>\n <li>Verify wagers and ensure compliance with department procedures and gaming regulations</li>\n <li>Explain wagering rules, betting lines, and odds to guests in a clear, professional, and engaging manner</li>\n <li>Provide exceptional guest service by addressing questions, concerns, or complaints</li>\n <li>Maintain and balance an assigned cash bank; reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift</li>\n <li>Maintain knowledge of racing events, sportsbook offerings, and property promotions</li>\n <li>Ensure work area is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies</li>\n <li>Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards</li>\n <li>Attend required training sessions and team meetings</li>\n <li>Perform additional duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>JOB SPECIFICATIONS:</strong></h3>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be <strong>21 years of age or older</strong></li>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED required</li>\n <li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li>\n <li>Basic cash handling and transaction processing experience</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a <strong>Nebraska Gaming License</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous Mutuels Writer/Teller or sportsbook experience</li>\n <li>Experience in guest service and cash or credit card processing</li>\n <li>Knowledge of sports, horse racing, and wagering systems</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar systems)</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>WORK HOURS / SCHEDULE:</strong></h3>\n<p>This is an <strong>on-call, seasonal position</strong>. Due to the nature of the racing and entertainment industry, team members must be available to work <strong>all scheduled race days and assigned locations</strong>, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.</p>\n<h3><strong>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></h3>\n<p>Travel is required for this position.
