Description
Position responsibilities
· Safeguards the established practices to guarantee that personnel profiles and criteria for recruitment and promotion are adhered to and they are incorporated in the appropriate screening and evaluation
· Assists in filing vital supportive documentation for screening and promotion decisions, as per our practices in the designated filing system
- Monitors and controls the compliment of crews onboard as per established practices and procedures
· Ensures the prompt monitoring and filing of all medical crew related case throughout the fleet, to assure that all medical records are: - Properly maintained
- Available
· Processing senior officer’s appointments to respective Fleet, by:
- Lining, proposing and acquiring approval
- Checking National and Flag state certificates to be valid
· Liaise with respective vessel by updating status of Senior officers’ replacement
· Organizes and co-ordinates senior officer visitation to the managing office, to assure that company’s policies are followed
· Increase crew familiarization towards them
· Retrieves the required crew data and statistics or provides such information to the:
HC, on an ad-hoc basis
Operation, Technical and other interested parties, when required
Initiates and follows up with the Superintendents and Managers, the evaluation for seafarers
Initiates and follows up with the Superintendents and Managers, the evaluation for senior seafarers
Qualifications /Experience
At least 5 years’ experience in similar position and solid knowledge of all aspects of
crew department such as recruitment/selection, planning, certification, training, implementation of Company MS, monitor and control crew complement, appraisal procedure
· Thorough knowledge of:
Our SMS
International crewing conventions, as;
IMO/ILO/STCW
ISM
ISPS including flag state
Customer (TMSA)
Maritime Unions
· Adequate English Skills
· Ability to use:
Office software
Spreadsheets
