About the Role As a Manufacturing Test Engineering Intern, you will help design, develop, and maintain test systems that ensure Dexterity’s robotic products meet the highest manufacturing and quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing eng., hardware design, controls, and quality, to improve test coverage, optimize workflows, and support scaling our production operations. This role offers hands-on experience with robotics hardware, electronics testing, data acquisition, and system validation in a fast-paced, real-world manufacturing setting. Responsibilities Assist in the design, implementation, and validation of automated and manual test systems for robotic product systems and subsystems. Support the development and maintenance of hardware and software tools for production testing. Perform root cause analysis on test failures and collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to drive corrective actions. Help document test procedures, configuration, and calibration steps. Support deployment and troubleshooting of test stations on the production floor. Help train CM personnel on performing system level testing, and operating automated testers on the production floor. Collect, analyze, and report test data to track manufacturing performance metrics. Qualifications Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field. Understanding of electronics fundamentals, test instrumentation equipment, and debugging practices. Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Structured Text, Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, etc. Familiarity with data acquisition systems, sensors, or embedded systems testing. Experience with electrical and mechanical hardware bring-up, fixture design, or test automation is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to technical challenges. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
