Schedule: M-TH, 6:00am - 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $38.00-$45.00/hr DOE
Location: Boise, ID
Position Type: Full-time
Benefits : This position is eligible for WGNSTAR’s full benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k). Additional benefits are listed at the end of this posting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Adhere to all safety procedures, including LOTO and NFPA 70E standards. Conduct timely and detailed preventive maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment. Provide effective responses to restore equipment to service promptly in the event of a system failure. Identify and respond to alarm conditions. Offer timely support to resolve equipment issues. Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and enhance system stability. Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, testing, and calibration activities, while proactively troubleshooting faults, technical issues, and supervisory alarms to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with operational standards. Understand fire alarm one-line diagrams. Requirements:
2 years of experience in fire alarm installation and repair (or equivalent trade school/military experience). Flexible to work four 10-hour shifts per week with varying hours, and able to move between different shifts as needed to support facility operations and meet business demands. Preferences: 2+ years of experience in fire alarm installation and repair. Valid electrical license. NICET certification and/or 2 years of experience. Knowledge of Edwards EST fire alarm systems Physical Effort/Activities:
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
