    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>ABOUT OUR DISTRICT</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">The Syracuse City School District is undergoing a new phase of innovation and transformation with the goal of ensuring that all students graduate high school with the skills needed to be ready for college and career. For Syracuse, all means all. The School Board and Syracuse community have charged the Superintendent with improving student achievement, and she is seeking a dedicated and diverse team of educators to partner with her in moving the district toward its goals.</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">The Syracuse City School District represents 35 schools and programs, including 6 high schools, 6 middle schools, 6 K-8 schools, 13 elementary schools, and 4 alternative education programs, serving approximately 19,000 students Pre-K–12. Of these students, 82.3% qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, 20.1% are served by the Office of Special Education, and 83% are students of color.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>OVERVIEW</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">The city of Syracuse, the Syracuse City School District, Onondaga County and Onondaga, Cortland and Madison County BOCES are collaborating on the region's first ever STEAM high school. The high school will offer a rigorous academic curriculum with a focus on STEAM. The school will be open to students from the SCSD as well as from the OCM BOCES component school districts.</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">A key element to the success of the high school will be the business partnerships. In Central New York there is a unique opportunity for collaboration amongst all stakeholders with an interest in a thriving urban core. Working in collaboration with CenterState CEO and MACNY, this high school will bring together the top companies and arts organizations in the respective fields of STEAM. These industry leaders will provide us with their expertise as well as in areas of mentoring, internships and job shadows.</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Central New York’s colleges and universities have some of the greatest resources available in all of the STEAM disciplines. Our students will be able to take advantage of these resources and in some cases take college courses alongside university and college students.</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">The school will offer programming in Animation and Game Design, Business Entrepreneurship, Construction Management, Data Analytics, Entertainment Engineering, Robotics and Automation, Semiconductor Microchip Technology, and the Fine Arts. style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><strong>ESSENTIAL RESPONSABILITIES</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">The&nbsp;Construction Management&nbsp;Teacher will work hands-on, alongside students to help build and deliver the school's Construction and Construction Management program through:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"></span>Teaching Construction Management courses to students in a hands-on and dynamic manner.</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"></span>Ensuring a wide breadth of&nbsp;Construction and Construction Management fundamentals are taught, including the following: management of construction projects, construction manager, construction engineer, cost estimator, construction superintendent, scheduler, and construction inspector, technical construction knowledge, such as methods, materials, systems, and layouts, as well as managerial, financial, and planning skills necessary to complete construction projects successfully.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Deliver established course curriculum
