Among other resources, Alterra has a slate of Employee Resource Groups to support our workforce.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>POSITION SUMMARY</b></p><p>Design, build, test, and maintain mobile applications and services within the Alterra Mountain Company ecosystem.  This position is going to be primarily focused on the Ikon Pass mobile application and will be involved in the design, development, and evolution of the platform.  The position requires a business-oriented individual that can contribute technically and fit in culturally to a fast paced, creative, energetic, technology driven team. </p><p></p><p><b><u><span>ESSENTIAL DUTIES</span></u></b></p><p><b>General Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Mobile Development: Develop, test, and deploy high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native. </li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall design and architecture of the applications. </li><li>Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process and streamline development workflows. </li><li>Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions in a timely manner. </li><li>Craftsmanship: We take pride in our work and honing our craft. Make process and code decisions that are modular and sustainable. We prefer to build it <i>right</i>, not twice. </li><li>Code Quality: Ensure code quality through code reviews, writing unit tests, and implementing best practices for mobile development.</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and implement improvements to development processes. </li><li>Site Reliability: Participate in On-Call duties and monitor the mobile applications once released to production. </li><li>Agile Processes: Participate in agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, and retrospectives) and pair programming.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</span></b></p><ul><li>3-4 years of hands-on programming experience </li><li>Development: React Native, React/Redux, JavaScript (ES6/Typescript), iOS (Swift/Objective C), Android (Java), HTML, CSS </li><li>Testing: Jest, Detox, React Testing Library, CircleCI, BrowserStack </li><li>Shipping production level React Native or React </li><li>Redux or similar state management tools </li><li>Knowledge of Apple&#39;s SDKs and frameworks for iOS </li><li>Familiarity with the App Store review guidelines and review process </li><li>Knowledge of Google&#39;s SDKs and frameworks for the Android </li><li>Familiarity with the Google Play Store review guidelines and review process </li><li>Understanding of REST API Frameworks</li><li>Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration.  </li><li>Understanding of API authentication techniques (OAuth2) </li><li>Methodologies: Agile development, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, Git, PR review, Pair Programming</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills </li><li>Familiarity with performance testing tools and optimizing for higher performance applications. </li><li>Experience working with a UX digital design team. </li></ul><p></p><p>The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of the Company’s total compensation package for employees.
