Lewis Ford Hinesville is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented <strong>Dealer Trade Driver</strong> to assist with the transportation of vehicles between our dealership and other automotive dealerships. This on-call position offers flexibility, as work is scheduled on an as-needed basis.</p><p>The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, safe driving habits, and a commitment to excellent customer service.</p><hr><p><strong>What You&#39;ll Do:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Safely transport vehicles between dealerships for trades, purchases, or exchanges.</p></li><li><p>Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles before and after transport, documenting and reporting any damage or discrepancies.</p></li><li><p>Accurately complete required paperwork, including condition reports, mileage logs, and trade documentation.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate transportation schedules with dealership staff to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.</p></li><li><p>Provide professional, courteous service during all interactions with dealership staff and customers.</p></li><li><p>Ensure vehicles assigned for transport are properly maintained and report any maintenance needs.</p></li><li><p>Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols.</p></li><li><p>Maintain clear and timely communication with dealership management and dispatch regarding transportation status.</p></li></ul><hr><p><strong>Who We&#39;re Looking For:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Valid driver&#39;s license with a clean driving record.</p></li><li><p>Minimum 19 years of age.</p></li><li><p>Prior experience in a driving or vehicle transport role preferred.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.</p></li><li><p>Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and collaboratively.</p></li><li><p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p></li></ul><hr><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Ability to sit for long periods while driving.</p></li><li><p>Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.</p></li><li><p>Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.</p></li><li><p>Good vision and hearing for safe driving.</p></li></ul><hr><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Occasional long-distance travel and overnight stays may be required.</p></li><li><p>Company vehicle provided for all transportation needs.</p></li><li><p>Uniform or adherence to dress code may be required.</p></li></ul><hr><p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>$.34 per mile</strong> driven, or a <strong>$50 minimum</strong> per trip (whichever is greater).</p></li><li><p><strong>$10</strong> per canceled trade (if driver has arrived at the dealership before cancellation).</p></li><li><p><strong>$20</strong> for each external transfer vehicle inspection (with documented inspection).</p></li><li><p><strong>$10 per hour</strong> for wait time after the first hour.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Approved Reimbursements:</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Up to $130 per night</strong> for authorized overnight stays (required for round trips exceeding 10 hours).</p></li><li><p><strong>$25 per meal</strong> during authorized overnight stays.</p></li><li><p>Tolls and any out-of-pocket fuel expenses.</p></li></ul><hr><p><strong>Why Work With Us:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive pay.</li><li>Career growth opportunities.</li><li>A stable, team-oriented workplace with over 100 years of community commitment.</li></ul><hr><p><strong>Note:</strong><br>This is an <strong>on-call</strong> position and not a full-time role.
