The American red cross pre training swim test consists of the following:</span></span></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Arial_EmbeddedFont, Arial_MSFontService, sans-serif\">300-yard continuous swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both.</span></span></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Arial_EmbeddedFont, Arial_MSFontService, sans-serif\">Tread water for 2 minutes without stopping</span></span></li>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Arial_EmbeddedFont, Arial_MSFontService, sans-serif\">Swim 20 yards then dive to retrieve a submerged 10-pound object. Swim  another 20 yards carrying the 10-pund object back to the starting point<br></span></span><span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Arial_EmbeddedFont, Arial_MSFontService, sans-serif\">( Please do not apply for lifeguard if you cannot physically preform this test. There are other opportunities available in Recreation at Forest Home.
