The <strong>MBSE Systems Engineer</strong> will have the opportunity to play in a role in various commercial space endeavors. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The <strong>MBSE Systems Engineer </strong>will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide MBSE expertise in the training of Barrios and customer employees </li>\n <li>Lead the development of MBSE infrastructure for the customer </li>\n <li>Work closely with stakeholders to maintain common MBSE standards and guidelines in their systems models </li>\n <li>Aid in the development of systems models to ensure consistency across the program </li>\n <li>Apply systems engineering principles and techniques to requirements validation, product development, product integration, requirements verification, system validation, and hardware/software product deployment </li>\n <li>Build an understanding of the product life cycle to perform concept trade studies, requirements management, test & verification, and modeling and analysis </li>\n <li>Investigate process improvement initiatives that promote the progression of SE&I expertise within a more digitized SE&I environment </li>\n <li>Establish working relationships with customer counterparts, requirement owners, and commercial teammates’ key personnel to promote SE&I functions</li>\n <li>Support SE&I activities such as requirements identification, development, verification, and tracking </li>\n <li>Develop processes and strategies to support cross-functional teams supporting integration, analysis, and testing </li>\n <li>Provide technical systems knowledge during major project milestones and project reviews </li>\n <li>Perform all other assigned duties</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><em>**This position is posted at multiple levels and multiple positions. Depending on the candidate’s experience, position requirements and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.**</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Education/Experience/Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus five (5) years of appropriate work experience </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>-OR-</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus ten (10) years of appropriate work experience </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>-OR-         </strong>                                    <strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus fifteen (15) years of appropriate work experience </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>-OR-</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>MS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school in lieu of two (2) years of experience </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Working experience using MagicDraw, or equivalent industry standard MBSE tools, to create and manage systems models </li>\n <li>Ability to provide technical leadership in the application of MBSE principles </li>\n <li>Applied knowledge of product life cycle development, sound systems engineering & integration principles, and strong working knowledge of associated engineering disciplines </li>\n <li>Applied working knowledge of systems engineering practices associated with the definition, design, development, verification, implementation, testing, integration, and validation of complex systems </li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills </li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Prefe</strong><strong>rred Educaiton/Expereince/Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience requirements management tools, such as DOORS Next Generation (DNG) </li>\n <li>Experience with multiple MBSE software platforms </li>\n <li>Working experience with Human Space Exploration programs (Gateway, ISS, Orion, etc.) </li>\n <li>INCOSE System Engineering Professional Certification </li>\n <li>Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent engineering</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.</li>\n <li>Post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol as outlined in our Drug Free Workplace policy.</li>\n <li>Work may involve sitting for extended periods.</li>\n <li>May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.</li>\n <li>Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.</li>\n <li>Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.</li>\n <li>Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)</li>\n <li>Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.</li>\n <li>Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.</li>\n <li>Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.</li>\n <li>Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.</li>\n <li>This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>Don’t miss out on this great opportunity; for immediate consideration, apply now!</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Barrios Technology is a drug-free workplace, which is imperative to the health and safety of all employees and is required as a condition of receiving contracts from federal agencies.
