This role is ideal for an engineer with approximately 2 years of experience in embedded systems testing, software validation, or systems engineering who is looking to grow within a collaborative product development environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As part of the validation team, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of embedded HVAC controller systems by supporting testing activities across hardware, firmware, and communication interfaces. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist in developing and executing validation plans for embedded HVAC controller systems. </li>\n <li>Create and maintain test documentation, including: \n  <ul>\n   <li>Test plans and test procedures </li>\n   <li>Manual and automated test cases </li>\n   <li>Test execution records and defect reports </li>\n   <li>Validation summary reports </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Execute functional, integration, and regression testing activities throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). </li>\n <li>Support troubleshooting and debugging of hardware/software interactions using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers. </li>\n <li>Work closely with software engineers, hardware engineers, and systems teams to identify issues and verify fixes. </li>\n <li>Help develop and maintain automated test scripts and validation tools to improve test efficiency and coverage. </li>\n <li>Document software and system defects clearly and collaborate with development teams on resolution efforts. </li>\n <li>Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to testing processes, automation, and product quality. </li>\n <li>Support project timelines by completing assigned validation activities on schedule.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-JM1 #LI-onsite</p>\n<h2>What We Are Looking For</h2>\n<p><strong><em>Education:</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field. <em>MS is preferred</em></p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Experience:</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>2+ years of experience in software validation, embedded systems testing, or related engineering roles. </li>\n <li>Understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, firmware, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).</li>\n <li>Exposure to programming languages such as C, C++, C#, or Python.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with debugging hardware/software interfaces. </li>\n <li>Exposure to scripting or automation tools such as Python. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, or BLE. </li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Preferred:</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working with test management or defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. </li>\n <li>Internship, co-op, or professional experience in HVAC, automotive, industrial controls, consumer electronics, or other embedded systems industries.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Soft Skills/Working Style:</strong></em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Eager to learn and develop technical expertise in embedded systems validation. </li>\n <li>Strong collaboration and communication skills. </li>\n <li>Able to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. </li>\n <li>Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving. </li>\n <li>Adaptable and willing to support changing project priorities and timelines. </li>\n <li>Detail-oriented with a focus on product quality and continuous improvement.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We Offer</h2>\n<p><strong>Compensation</strong>: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between <strong>$90,000 - $101,000 </strong>annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for the <strong>BroadBase Incentive (BBI) program with a target payout of 2%. </strong>Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location and Schedule</strong>: This position is located in <strong>Carrollton, TX</strong> and will be <strong>in the office Monday through Friday.</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits</strong>: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Paid Time Off:</strong> Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 9 to 11 paid company holidays depending on the year, and 3 floating holidays per year. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Our Culture</strong>: At Lennox, our Core Values of Integrity, Respect & Excellence are ingrained in the fabric of the organization.
