This role involves monitoring their recovery in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and providing extended care during overnight shifts. The primary goal is to facilitate a smooth transition for patients from the operating room to recovery, ensuring they receive the necessary support and medical attention. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, administer medications, and educate patients and their families about post-operative care. Ultimately, this position plays a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction during a critical phase of their healthcare journey.</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Mississippi.</li><li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree.</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience in preoperative or PACU nursing.</li><li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.</li><li>Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct preoperative assessments to evaluate patients&#39; health status and readiness for surgery.</li><li>Monitor patients in the PACU, observing vital signs and managing any complications that may arise post-anesthesia.</li><li>Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.</li><li>Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery expectations.</li><li>Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.</li></ul><p>Days and hours can vary.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n",
