Description

For more than 70 years,  Senior Metal Bellows  has been pushing the limits of innovation—designing and building custom-engineered metal bellows for industries that demand the best: aerospace, defense, energy, and beyond. We’re not just making parts—we’re making solutions no one else can. And we want  you  to be part of it. In this role, you’ll play a key part in solving real manufacturing challenges, improving processes, and ensuring high-quality products reach our customers. This role requires a high level of independence, technical capability, business awareness, and commitment to established engineering processes. You will be the main point of contact across multiple shifts for production support. What You'll Do... Provide hands-on technical support to production personnel by clarifying work instructions, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to prevent defects, and assisting with day-to-day technical and process-related questions. Support Material Review Board (MRB) and Returned Material Authorization (RMA) activities, including technical evaluation and disposition of nonconforming materials. Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methods such as 5-Why analysis, Fishbone diagrams, and data-driven analysis. Develop and implement containment, corrective, and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence. Evaluate and define technically sound, compliant rework or salvage methods when necessary. Prepare and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) related to corrective actions, drawing updates, tooling modifications, and process improvements. Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve issues and enhance manufacturing processes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and improving process stability. Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and work instructions to support investigations, corrective actions, and process updates. What You Bring.... At least 3 years experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or quality engineering. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited program. Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Experience with structured problem-solving methods and root cause analysis. Exposure to manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, heat treating, testing, inspection, or similar processes preferred. Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma concepts, and basic statistical analysis. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams. Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in a manufacturing engineering environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with production operators, engineers, and leadership. Hiring Range $78,000 - $102,000 annually, plus 10% shift differential.  Final salary will be determined by experience, relevant skills and qualifications. Trade Compliance Statement Access to our facilities is restricted under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to U.S. Persons (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, U.S. Nationals, U.S. refugees, asylees, or temporary residents under amnesty provisions ), and to properly licensed foreign persons. Applicants receiving a conditional offer of employment will be required to provide information to determine whether they are subject to these regulations and, if so, to assess their country of chargeability for export control purposes. Additionally, potential employee names will be screened against the Consolidated Screening List (maintained by the United States government) to determine eligibility to receive controlled technical data. To ensure there is no unexpected delay to your start date with our Company and due to the potential need to obtain an export license, we would like to promptly assess whether such a license is needed to access our facility and/or systems.  Such licenses can take several weeks/months to obtain from the U.S. Government. Our Trade Compliance department may reach out to you with a Licensing Assessment form, which we request you kindly complete and return as soon as possible. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. EOE M/F/D/V/VEVRAA Federal Contractor
