In this position, you’ll perform exceptional and specialized radiographic procedures at the request of the licensed independent practitioner for interpretation by radiologists. You will integrate scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and compassionate care to result in diagnostic information.</p><p><br>Think you’ve got what it takes?</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p>• Technical diploma from a formal diagnostic radiology program required<br>• R-ARRT and CMRT certification required<br>• 3 years’ radiology experience required</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Check rooms daily for adequate stock levels and update supply lists when needed<br>• Confirm patient identity with approved identifiers and prepare patients for procedures<br>• Verify patient’s pregnancy and informed consent statuses<br>• Assess factors that may contraindicate the procedure<br>• Determine type and dose of contrast agent to be administered based on the patient’s medical/physical status<br>• Provide clear and detailed information about the procedure to the patient, family, and others<br>• Maintain current knowledge of equipment, materials, medications, and processes<br>• Work independently and perform routine and complex procedures while accurately demonstrating anatomy and pathology skills<br>• Serve as an educational resource to others<br>• Applies ALARA principles, including use of technical factors, to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others<br>• Document fluoroscopic time, radiation exposure, incidents, variances, unusual circumstances, and/or patient concerns<br>• Apply patient safety principles during all aspects of radiographic procedures<br>• Report all equipment issues to Bio-Med<br>• Consult with radiologists and/or medical physicists with image quality issues<br>• Maintain positive lines of communication radiologists, leadership, nurses, peers, staff, and others</p>",
