Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Engineering Manager will be responsible to supervise the day-to-day repairs and maintenance for meeting rooms, restaurants and public spaces. Recommend and implement procedural changes. Monitor and control expenses.</p> \n<strong><u>Examples of Duties</u><u>, includes but is not limited to the following</u>:</strong>\n<strong> </strong>\n<li> Supervise the Engineering employees and Supervisors ; interview, schedule, train, develop, coach and counsel, provide open communications, make recommendations to performance reviews.</li>\n<li> Prioritize service requests; schedule and monitor the service performed to ensure customer satisfaction, safety and convenience for meeting rooms, restaurants, aquatic facility and public spaces.</li>\n<li> Test and examine the life safety systems to ensure they are 100% operational at all times to protect the asset, guests and employees.</li>\n<li> Monitor utility consumption to determine the effectiveness of current systems.</li>\n<li> Review purchase requests by engineering general storage room and monitor expenses to ensure budgeted goals are met/exceeded.</li>\n<li> Assist in the administration of the department by preparing and maintaining schedules, logs, records or other documentation to ensure a smooth operation and minimize liabilities.</li>\n<li> Perform other related duties as assigned.      </li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Requires advanced knowledge of the Building Management/Engineering profession. This includes experiential knowledge required for management of people and complex problems.</p></li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, Leaders, and vendors. </li>\n <li>Minimum of five years relevant experience preferred. Minimum of two years supervisory experience preferred.</li>\n <li>High school education or equivalent.  </li>\n</ul>",
