Position Summary : This position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit to strengthen the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Commits to the YMCA’s mission, vision, and values to promote healthy living, social responsibility and youth development. Works closely with supervisor to keep the YMCA's buildings and properties functioning and secure while ensuring safety, licensing standards, and the YMCA's reputation. Ensures campus remains secure by monitoring facility and member activities; locking up supplies & equipment; and locking the facilities at the end of each day. Works with other staff to ensure the YMCA’s facilities are clean, sanitized, organized, and safe. Facility areas include the Main Campus and Camp Knickerbocker. Cleans, sanitizes, wipes down all surfaces (including glass), and removes trash from all facility areas. Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies, creates weekly supply orders, and supports order management. Ensures rooms are fitted with appropriate cleaning and/or toiletry supplies at all times. Assists with light maintenance including light-bulb replacement, minor plumbing fixes, simple repairs, and routine maintenance of cleaning equipment. Coordinates with supervisor in keeping YMCA campus grounds clean and orderly. Duties include but are not limited to mowing, raking, snow removal, salting, and trash removal. Records and reports all needed repairs and completes repairs as directed. Supports program staff with moving furniture and equipment and arranging equipment for special events. Builds effective, authentic relationships with participants and connects participants to the YMCA. As a Mandated Reporter, recognizes signs of abuse or neglect and reports to supervisor and the appropriate authorities. Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs other tasks and projects as assigned.
