          "text": "<p><strong>Who will you be working with?</strong></p><p>The Materials &amp; Planning Specialist owns and expedites the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules.</p><p><strong>How will you make a difference? </strong></p><p>In this role you will plan and schedule material / production needs and will utilize your seasoned and deep understanding of concepts, approaches and methodology used as well as your deep expertise on the level of a technological field.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>What do we want to know about you? </strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college</li><li>3-5 years of progressive experience and responsibility in corporate strategy, planning, and strategic operations</li><li>A minimum of 2 additional years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skill and the ability to communicate effectively internally, upward, and cross functionally.</li><li>Can articulate strategies, ideas, and proposals clearly and concisely.</li><li>Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, particularly modeling; strong bias towards data-based decision making.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>What will your typical day look like? </strong></p><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Manage planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Ensure operational alignment with production plan.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Optimize inventory and process improvements.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Solve issues and develop new solutions that require usage of methods and approaches with some precedence.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Present product / program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders across Wabtec.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Input and influence decisions within own discipline and area.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Communicate recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Be involved in complex decision making sometimes with external parties.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p>You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p>This role is also eligible for a performance bonus.
