    "description": "<h2>Position Overview</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Department:</strong> Pharmacy</li>\n <li><strong>Schedule:</strong> PRN Rotating Days, evenings, nights (days 7a - 4p, evenings 3p - 8p, weekends primarily days) </li>\n <li><strong>Work Location:</strong> UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham</li>\n <li><strong>Benefits for eligible positions only include:</strong> generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Do</h2>\n<p>Perform the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Under direct supervision, maintain proper narcotic documentation and ensure proper distribution of narcotic medications.</li>\n <li>Under direct supervision, ensure appropriate selection of dosing, administering and monitoring of medication.</li>\n <li>Dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas. May compound medications.</li>\n <li>Assist pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles. Provide medication information and education to medical staff and patients.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Need</h2>\n<p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Currently registered or eligible to be registered as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern/extern by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Education:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma equivalency and enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Preferences</h2>\n<p>No additional preferences.</p>\n<h2>About UAB St. Vincent’s</h2>\n<p>UAB St. Vincent’s, a proud part of UAB Medicine, is a trusted provider of health care, serving Alabama for more than 125 years.
