You'll be part of an agile and dynamic workplace where today's solutions are built for tomorrow's challenges.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Senior Software Developer – Internet of Things (IoT), is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and reliable IoT solutions that integrate with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. They will be responsible for designing and implementing key IoT systems.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This position is in Toronto, Canada with possible travel to our global operations in the USA, UK, Continental Europe, India, and China.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:<br><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Accountabilities:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design and implement end-to-end IoT solutions using AWS or Azure cloud platforms.</li>\n<li>Design and implement fault-tolerant systems and services that run at large scales and high availability guarantees.</li>\n<li>Actively participate in the design and implementation of IoT devices, edge devices and cloud infrastructure.</li>\n<li>Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design documents.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional experts, including software development, data analytics, and cybersecurity teams, to deliver IoT solutions.</li>\n<li>Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in IoT and cloud platforms.</li>\n<li>Mentor other developers in software development best practices and processes.</li>\n<li>Advise the leadership team on technical direction.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For</span></p>\n<p>To thrive in this role, you should bring:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Role Requirements</span></p>\n<p>Education</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.</li>\n<li>AWS and/or Azure certifications considered a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing secure and scalable IoT solutions preferably in an industrial setting.</li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in AI software development.</li>\n<li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Modern design patterns and microservice based architectures.</li>\n<li>AI driven software development.</li>\n<li>Containers, Kubernetes, message queues and all other related technologies.</li>\n<li>Test Driven Development</li>\n<li>Ability to match deep technology value with potential business value and partners.</li>\n<li>Ability to break down complex problems in a simplified way, conduct root cause analysis and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations.</li>\n<li>Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including IoT services and features.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP and HTTP.</li>\n<li>Experience with edge computing technologies and protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, BACnet, and CAN bus.</li>\n<li>Knowledgeable about Containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.</li>\n<li>Expertise in microservices serverless architectures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Armstrong Fluid Technology?</span></p>\n<p>By joining us, you’ll become part of a global community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of fluid-flow technology.
