Job title : Environmental Services Supervisor (ES Supervisor)
Mentored by : Environmental Services Manager (ES Manager)
Accountable to : Elders, Families, and Core Teams at St. John’s Meadows & Brickstone by St. John’s
Position Summary : Responsible for ensuring all residents have a clean, pleasant, safe surrounding to live in. Responsible for all living and common areas to be maintained to organizational standards. Ensures staff maintains quality standards in all living areas and common areas. Works daily with ES Manager to provide the best customer service.
Qualifications & Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum five years’ experience in an Environmental Services team within health care or similar hospitality environment Ability to successfully interact and provide excellence in customer service to residents, family members, and team members. Willingness to embrace and exemplify St. John’s Brand Characteristics

Position Competencies :

Position Responsibilities :
Train and educate all new hires Oversight of the day to day operations of Environmental Services at designated campus, reports any issues to Environmental Services Manager. Inspect and ensure cleanliness of resident apartments, common spaces, guest suites, and turnover units upon inspections. Supervisor will correct team members when necessary. Ensure campus specific wide needs are met and adjusted as needed for special requests Ensure campus specific activity room set ups and break downs are completed properly and on time Inspect guest suites for visitors before arrival to ensure cleanliness and excellent customer service. Give input to the ES Manager for budget suggestions and planning. In absence of ES Manager, the ES Supervisor will assist other departments, and outside agencies; with event setups to ensure excellent customer service and communication Continuously monitor quality outcomes of front line staff via daily supervision, inspection, formal and informal surveys, and communicate with ES Manager for improvement opportunities as needed. Supervise staff to ensured safe use of all cleaning chemicals and related equipment
Physical Requirements :
Frequent lifting, pulling, bending, reaching of carts and furniture equipment (up to 75 pounds) occasionally squatting. Apply cleaning solutions to appropriate areas and according to directions, use the desired method to physically clean surfaces in need of cleaning.
Exposure to Conditions :
May be exposed to infectious diseases, commercial and household cleaning chemicals, weather conditions. Frequent use of Industrial Cleaning Fluids and aerosols.
