We do this through fostering a team environment and conducting business in the spirit of honesty and integrity, while promoting employee responsibility, accountability and empowerment.</p><p><strong>Summary</strong><br>Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic A is responsible for performing maintenance activities as required to support all plant operations and assist the Maintenance Manager and/or Plant Manager in supporting the overall maintenance effort and team.<br><br><strong>Essential Functions</strong><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Execute daily assignments to include but not limited to coordinating, supporting and performing all required plant reactive, preventative, proactive, project and<br>setup support maintenance activities<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Utilizing the site&rsquo;s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), create the maintenance schedule, organize work orders and input maintenance<br>parts inventory into the system<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assess, troubleshoot and repair manufacturing issues, such as pneumatic devices and hydraulic systems; the rebuilding of gearboxes and drives and (to include<br>researching technical data, procuring parts, performing hand-on repairs and assisting in the coordination of contractor support as needed) in a timely fashion<br>and with minimal supervision.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Installation of equipment and needed piping<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Setting up of production lines, as well as the repair and troubleshooting of filling machines on production lines.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Follows proper safety guidelines, including lock out tag out procedures during all maintenance and repairs.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Insures GMP, SSOP, OSHA guidelines and best practices are met prior to commissioning or restarting a piece of machinery, equipment or production line.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Personally demonstrates and avidly encourage a continuous improvement culture within the maintenance team by actively participating in continuous<br>improvement processes and projects and by completing assigned projects on time and with high-quality results<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assist in training, coaching and mentoring fellow mechanics/technicians on proper maintenance practices to include but not limited to safe work practices,<br>equipment theory of operation, proper troubleshooting techniques and best-practice repair procedures, etc.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Identify and report unsafe machinery, equipment repairs and upgrades as needed<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Conducts all the tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, according to the laws and regulatory agencies: EPA, OSHA, Fire Department,<br>FSMA, FDA, etc.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp; Comply with company policies and procedures, maintain regular work attendance and support short-notice overtime requirements when needed</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required (Associate&rsquo;s Degree, Trade School Certificate and/or Military Technical Training, a plus)<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must have 5 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably under cGMP regulations<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Knowledge of and experience with food processing machinery including: Horizontal and Vertical Mixers, Urschell Dicers, Pack Line Depositing, Sealing and<br>Lidding equipment, Circular and Vacuum pumps, Flow Valves/Fillers, Temperature/Level Sensors, Conveyors, Air Compressors, HVAC Units, Metal Detectors,<br>Check Weigher, and all essential machinery and equipment for the production of salsa, dips and spreads.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Technical knowledge and ability in electrical troubleshooting, including replacement of three phase motors, &amp; knowledge in PLC&rsquo;s (Allen Bradley or Siemens)<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Certified in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics is desirable<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Related field training and continuing education is a plus<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must be mechanically inclined and possess the ability to use all standard tools of the trade; to include but not limited to basic hand and machine tools, various<br>test equipment (as required) and be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and prints, as well as demonstrate the ability to safely and effectively<br>operate basic shop machinery such as hyd. presses, grinders, lathes, mills, drill presses, welders, jigs and tigs<br><br><strong>Competencies/ Skills</strong><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must demonstrate effective leadership skills (Experience in a leadership role preferred)<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Proficiency in computer (Microsoft Office, Excel) and basic math skills<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;High Level in HVAC Skills including RTU&rsquo;s &amp;/or Condensers<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Mechanicals Skills in Shear Mixer, Pumps &amp;/or Welding tig-mig<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;High Skill in Electrical circuits, including 480 AC/DC<br>&bull;
