By joining our team, you will share in the joy of providing “care with dignity and life with hope.”</em></span></p>\n<p>We are seeking a talented professional with a passion for lending their skills &amp; abilities to help our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">developmentally disabled adults who reside in our group home in Hampton Bays </span>to<em> </em>achieve their goals and experience pride in what they have accomplished.  In this role, you will assist the Residence Manager to provide “person-centered care” by encouraging teamwork, supervising staff, observing regulatory requirements and ensuring effective house operations.  <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our ideal candidate for this <em>Assistant Manager</em> opportunity will be a seasoned supervisor with a background in caring for developmentally disabled adults, including those experiencing age-onset medical issues. </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Full benefits package includes</span>: 3 weeks’ vacation, 18 paid holidays, health/dental, free life insurance, and retirement savings plan.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Key Responsibilities Include:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervising Residence Counselors and assisting in scheduling staff to ensure full staffing 24/7;</li>\n<li>Ensuring that Individual Service Plans and goals are developed with residents, implemented and documented appropriately by staff;</li>\n<li>In absence of Manager, communicating with residents’ family members to provide information, status reports;</li>\n<li>Performing hands-on Residence Counselor duties as needed, including transporting and accompanying residents into the community, providing direct care, performing household maintenance duties.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Basic Requirements:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma/GED. Associate’s Degree preferred.</li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 yrs. experience supervising staff in a residential care setting is required</li>\n<li>Experience caring for developmentally disabled adults in a residential setting</li>\n<li>Well-developed administrative &amp; organizational skills</li>\n<li>Clean, valid NYS Driver’s License</li>\n<li>Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule according to individual's needs</li>\n<li>Ability to perform tasks that may require stooping, crouching, and 2-person lifting up to 250 pounds.</li>\n<li>Ability to maintain personal safety and respond appropriately in a calm, non-confrontational manner during an individual's physical or emotional outburst.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Core Work Schedule: </em></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> FT, 40 hrs./wk. - (24/7 On Call flexibility required) </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">1pm - 9pm, Tues-Sat</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate.
