It is not a restaurant or chef role.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p>The Cook Assistant works under the direction of the Preschool Cook and Director to help prepare, portion, and serve meals and snacks for young children while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with preparing breakfast, lunch, and snacks</li>\n<li>Portion and distribute meals to classrooms</li>\n<li>Wash dishes and sanitize kitchen equipment</li>\n<li>Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen</li>\n<li>Follow established menus and food safety guidelines</li>\n<li>Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries</li>\n<li>Follow state and USDA food safety requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must pass a background check</li>\n<li>Ability to follow instructions and established procedures</li>\n<li>Prior kitchen or food prep experience preferred</li>\n<li>ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)</li>\n<li>Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Work Environment</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Daytime schedule</li>\n<li>Structured preschool setting</li>\n<li>Team-based environment</li>\n<li>No weekends</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>If you are dependable and comfortable working in a supportive kitchen role within a childcare setting, we encourage you to apply</em>.</p>",
