    "requisitionDescription": "<p id=\"isPasted\">Job Summary:</p><p>The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the ethanol production process, ensuring efficient and safe production while focusing on troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and leadership. This role will lead a team, troubleshoot production challenges, implement process improvements, and ensure the plant meets performance, safety, and regulatory standards.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>Leadership &amp; Team Management:</p><p>&bull; Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production operators and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.</p><p>&bull; Provide guidance and coaching to the team, ensuring they have the necessary tools and training to perform their tasks effectively.</p><p>&bull; Organize regular team meetings to communicate goals, performance metrics, and best practices.</p><p>&bull; Act as a mentor for junior staff members, encouraging growth and skill development.</p><p><br></p><p>Troubleshooting &amp; Problem Solving:</p><p>&bull; Oversee troubleshooting efforts for production issues, ensuring that technical problems are identified, analyzed, and resolved efficiently.</p><p>&bull; Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and process inefficiencies, ensuring minimal downtime.</p><p>&bull; Respond quickly to production interruptions or quality issues, analyzing the situation and implementing corrective actions.</p><p><br></p><p>Continuous Improvement:</p><p>&bull; Lead and promote continuous improvement initiatives within the production process to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and increase profitability.</p><p>&bull; Identify and implement lean manufacturing techniques, process enhancements, and cost-saving measures.</p><p>&bull; Champion the adoption of new technologies and process upgrades that will enhance production capabilities.</p><p><br></p><p>Safety &amp; Compliance:</p><p>&bull; Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and environmental standards.</p><p>&bull; Lead by example in maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety awareness.</p><p>&bull; Conduct regular safety audits and assist in incident investigations, implementing preventive measures where necessary.</p><p><br></p><p>Production Planning &amp; Coordination:</p><p>&bull; Oversee the scheduling of production shifts and activities to meet production targets while minimizing downtime.</p><p>&bull; Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Maintenance, Quality Control, and Engineering) to ensure smooth operation and resource allocation.</p><p>&bull; Track production performance metrics and prepare reports for upper management.</p><p><br></p><p>Budget &amp; Cost Control:</p><p>&bull; Assist in budgeting and cost control processes, ensuring that production targets are met within allocated budgets.</p><p>&bull; Monitor material/chemical usage, labor costs, and overhead to ensure optimal cost efficiency.</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>Education:</p><p>&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in chemical engineering, or a related field with relevant experience.</p><p>&bull; Relevant certifications in production management or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.</p><p>Experience:</p><p>&bull; Minimum of 5 years of experience in production or operations management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role in an industrial setting, preferably in the ethanol, biofuel, or chemical industries.</p><p>&bull; Strong experience in troubleshooting, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.</p><p>&bull; Familiarity with the ethanol production process and safety regulations.</p><p>Skills &amp; Abilities:</p><p>&bull; Strong leadership and team-building skills.</p><p>&bull; Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.</p><p>&bull; Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>&bull; Proficient in process control systems, production software, and Microsoft Office Suite.</p><p>&bull; Strong verbal and written communication skills.</p><p><br></p><p>Physical Requirements:</p><p>&bull; Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 50 pounds occasionally.</p><p>&bull; Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, machinery, and fluctuating temperatures.</p><p><br></p><p>Application Process:</p><p>Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter detailing their qualifications and experience.</p><p><br></p><p>At the time of posting, the salary for this position ranges from $115,000 - $140,000.
