Candidates must possess a strong writing style, captivating delivery, and ability to work with an award winning news team.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to street reporting, newscast anchoring, delivering on-air traffic reports, conducting interviews, covering news stories, operating audio equipment, writing news scripts.  Candidates must possess a strong social media acumen.  Hours include weekdays and occasional weekends. We appreciate your interest in joining our team and look forward to reviewing your application.</strong></em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Produce and record news segments. </li>\n <li>Gather, write, record, edit and deliver news content inclusive of providing live coverage when breaking news occurs. </li>\n <li>Interview news makers.</li>\n <li>Write scripts and ad-libbing material for stories.</li>\n <li>Update and utilize station social media platforms.</li>\n <li>Develop and research potential news stories. </li>\n <li>Anchor multi-hour news shifts on a news-talk station. </li>\n <li>Deliver traffic reports for multiple stations.</li>\n <li>Protecting the station’s FCC license.</li>\n <li>Make station appearances as required.</li>\n <li>Other duties as required by management.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>More About You:</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Required & Preferred:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 2+ years anchoring or reporting news for broadcast media.</li>\n <li>Must be computer literate and have excellent writing skills.</li>\n <li>The Position requires proficiency in editing and packaging news sound and interviews.</li>\n <li>Position requires contemporary sound and excellent on-air delivery.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the broadcast area and station demographics is essential;</li>\n <li>4 year degree in journalism is preferred.</li>\n <li>Employees of Audacy are required to be a minimum of 21 years of age to operate any vehicle, including Company-owned, leased, rented, or personal vehicles, when such operation is conducted on behalf of Audacy. Driving is an essential function of this role.</li>\n <li>A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of the applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong> While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, use hands, reach with hands/ arms and manipulate a computer keyboard and ten-key machine. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
