Description

Title: Assistant Director of Social Programs Reports to: Director of Clinical Operations Location: Position requires a weekly presence at both the New Windsor and Middletown offices. Job Objectives: · Provide oversight and management of the following programs and services: CORE, Vocational, Hudson House, Travel Activity, WOGI (Welcome Orange Geriatric Initiative), Rehabilitative Social Club, Compeer, Compeer Homeless, Friends, and Family Support. · Provide direct supervision to Hudson House Supervisor, CORE (Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment) and Vocational staff, and Social Programs Supervisor. · Perform duties while actively promoting an environment consistent with MHA’s Cultural Equity Policy and WELCOME Orange . * Direct oversight and supervision of stated programs are periodically re-evaluated and may change subject to staffing vacancies and/or the discretion of Executive Director. Responsibilities: · Provide direct supervision to Hudson House Supervisor, Social Programs Supervisor, as well as CORE and VOC staff. · Lead, motivate and supervise a dedicated team, ensuring their development and adherence to organizational policies. · Assist in the development and review of departmental policies, procedures and manuals. · Conduct recruitment, hiring, training, and annual evaluations. · Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from entities such as Medicaid and NYS Office of Mental Health. · Oversee timely billing submissions and internal audits, fostering accountability. · Uphold HIPAA regulations and safeguard confidentiality. · Monitor and optimize program performance, referring participants for additional services as needed. · Provide culturally competent services and maintain agency policies and procedures. · Coordinate with community agencies and service providers, participating in meetings as an MHA representative. · Review and approve relevant program staff time records, paid time off requests, project reports, correspondence, and financial expenditures. · Engage in relevant program staff’s performance management setting and measuring goals, objectives and milestones. · Conduct staff training and development opportunities. Other Duties: · Participate in MHA’s committees as needed. · Duties outlined above are intended to describe the essential job functions, the general supplemental functions, and the essential requirements for the performance of this job.
