Description Position # : Primary Care Paramedics Lead Instructor (TERM) – Competition #56-25/26 Expected Start Date: December 1, 2026 Facility: Great Plains College Warman Campus City/Town: Warman Type: Temporary Part time FTE: Total Contract Days: 101.25 Salary or Pay Band: Based on education and experience Job Description: Great Plains College is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic lead instructor for our Primary Care Paramedics Program at the Warman Campus. The instructor will plan and facilitate the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Program delivery including providing tutorial and counselling assistance, facilitating labs, scenario skill practice, small groups and lectures; evaluating the course and program delivery and the result of the teaching process. They will manage the learning environment, which includes online learning, in alignment with the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Paramedic Program policies and accreditation requirements. communicate student updates to the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Program Head and Practicum Coordinator including updates which may affect student progress or scheduling in practicum or clinical placements - including student reports, program reports and academic progress. Education Required Pre-requisites: Completion of an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Program from an approved school Required to lead EMER 113 and EMER 11 **Required to lead EMER 111 Experience A minimum of two years of recent experience as an ACP Other Education and Training Licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Current instructor-level status with International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)* Current instructor-level status with Basic Life Support (BLS)** Current provider-level certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) Establish and maintain relationships with Saskatchewan Polytechnic Desired Pre-requisites: Instructor-level status with The Working Mind First Responder (TWMFR formerly R2MR) Instructor-level status with Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) Instructor-level status with Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) Defensive Driving Course Instructor-level status with Pediatric Education for the Prehospital Provider (PEPP) Establish and maintain relationships with Saskatchewan Polytechnic Competencies Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities Well-developed interpersonal and oral communications skills including excellent written and presentation skills and an ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with students, instructors, program administrators, employers, other clients and the public Demonstrates valuing diversity Understanding of and ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners with the required health care knowledge and skills Other Information A complete job description and competencies for this position can be found on the Great Plains College website.
