If this sounds like a good fit for you, we’d like to meet you.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">We’re looking for a Payroll Manager who knows payroll inside and out and can own the function from start to finish. This is an in-house role—no outsourcing—so we need someone who’s confident, experienced, and ready to take full responsibility for delivering accurate, timely payroll every week.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Run weekly payroll for both field and office staff, including union and non-union employees.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Maintain payroll records, time sheets, and job costing data.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Accurately calculate wages, deductions, benefits, and taxes.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Handle union reporting and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Submit union remittances and stay current on union rules and rates.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Prepare and file payroll tax returns (federal, state, and local).</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws, certified payroll reporting, and labor regulations.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Maintain and optimize payroll systems (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar).</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Collaborate with IT and HR to streamline payroll workflows and reporting.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Generate payroll reports for finance and project teams.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Support internal and external audits related to payroll and labor compliance.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Partner with HR on onboarding, terminations, and employee changes.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate job costing and labor allocation.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What you’ll need (minimum qualifications):</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll in the construction industry.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Strong understanding of union payroll, certified payroll, and prevailing wage requirements.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and tax regulations.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Good to have:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Experience with mechanical contracting or specialty trades.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Familiarity with construction accounting systems</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">NOTE: </span>This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
