    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Crisis Response and De-escalation</span></strong></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Utilize SECURE de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques during crisis situations.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Apply de-escalation practices within the BHU as directed by the Charge Nurse or BHU Leadership.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assist with physically combative patients in accordance with CMS standards, ensuring patient dignity and safety.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Participate in post-incident debriefings for both patients and staff.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Respond to urgent safety concerns, including patient disruptions, system failures (e.g., flooding), Ambulance and other emergency vehicle arrivals, and other emergencies.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assist in patient escorts to and from facilities.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Assist with patient intake and dismissal as needed.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">CMS Standards: The use of restraint or seclusion interventions must never act as a barrier to the provision of safe and appropriate care, treatment, or other interventions to meet the needs of the patient. CMS does not consider the use of weapons in the application of restraint as a safe or appropriate healthcare intervention. BHU Security staff who are Law Enforcement Officers may not carry weapons within the BHU. &ldquo;Weapons&rdquo; include, but are not limited to: pepper spray, mace, nightsticks, Tasers, cattle prods, stun guns, and firearms. The use of weapons is not considered a healthcare intervention and, if used, the incident will be handled as a law enforcement matter.
