Job Title: Cook Reports to: Executive Chef Full-Time: Must be able to work evenings and/or weekends Position Scope: As a Cook, you will support the delivery and execution of quality food service to residents and guests. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports the mission, core values and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision. Completes all hours of state-mandated continuing education each year. Promotes and displays a spirit of teamwork in performing daily duties through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments. Supports a positive, professional image through actions and attire. Promotes the property in a positive manner and effectively communicates the organization’s values to residents, visitors, co-workers, and the community. Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations. Preparing ingredients for the shift: washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc. Preparing and operating kitchen equipment for the shift. Taking orders from wait staff or a computerized system. Cooking orders in accordance with food safety and health standards. Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes. Handling multiple food orders at one time. Monitor multiple food orders as new orders arrive. Dressing order for presentation. Ensuring each guest's order has the correct food and sides. Delivering food orders to wait staff in a timely manner. Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils. Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed. Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.
