    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:</strong></p>\n<p>The Construction Manager Junior Associate position will train in many departments within Roofing and WTI while engaged in a degree seeking program through RISE.&nbsp; The following areas will be included in training as well as any others deemed appropriate:</p>\n<ol>\n <li>WTI Field - WTI Field Resources to learn installation of different types of roofing systems such as BUR, EPDM, Single-ply, coatings, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems, as well as safe operations of tools of the trade. This position requires hands on; roof or construction site activity.</li>\n <li>General Contracting - learn and assist in project management duties including but not limited to managing all projects (including GC and larger-scale P&amp;R, TremCares, etc), participating in all proposals, specifications, price estimates, schedules, and sales efforts as they affect the aforementioned projects.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Sales &amp; Service Support – Report database management and QC related activities, warranty adjustment, leak tracking, customer service, project administration, product training activities, etc.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>The Construction Manager Junior Associate will be required to apply and take courses working towards a degree in Construction Management through the WTI partnership with The University of Akron, must maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA, and will work through the Junior Associate curriculum which includes training in the following: OLI QC, superintendent training, estimating, spec writing, CM admin support, PR/Inspection field services.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><a target=\"_blank\">Installation, maintenance, and repair of different types of roofing systems such as BUR, EPDM, Single-ply, coatings, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems</a></li>\n <li>Safe operation of tools of the trade (hand tools, power tools etc.)</li>\n <li>Follow OSHA regulations and other regulatory agencies relating to job site safety, demonstrates safe work practices.</li>\n <li>Work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and to meet the physical demands of the position, including mobility needed to complete tasks.</li>\n <li>Climbing and operating on ladders, able to handle at least 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Effective communication with foremen, supervisors, and other WTI and Tremco employees</li>\n <li>Be responsible for contributing to proposals and specifications</li>\n <li>GC project administration and tracking activities</li>\n <li>Conceptual Phase (estimates &amp; schedules)</li>\n <li>Program Planning Phase</li>\n <li>Design Phase</li>\n <li>Conduct Prebid</li>\n <li>Construction Phase</li>\n <li>Conduct Pre con</li>\n <li>Effective Close-out</li>\n <li>Cost Estimates and schedules</li>\n <li>Use of eBuilder for all project documentation per policy manual</li>\n <li>Analyze for project cost / budget variance &amp; profitability</li>\n <li>Understanding of subcontractor agreement and corrective measures of notification to subcontractor per the executed agreement</li>\n <li>Any other activities to support the training and development within the organization</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>No prior professional experience or training required.</p>\n<p>(Currently Earning): Degree in Construction Management, Construction building Engineering, Construction Technology, Project Management or Industrial</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><i>The hourly rate for applicants in this position generally ranges between $20 and $33.
