He/She works with the hospital leadership as well as Community Veterinary Partners to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and successful financial performance. The Practice Manager leads by example to motivate and inspire the team to provide excellent experience for our clients and their pets.</strong></p><p><strong><br>&nbsp;ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<br>&nbsp;Human Resources</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Administrate all human resource functions including staff recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, and terminations.</strong></li><li><strong>Manage annual performance evaluations. Responsible for performance evaluations for supervised staff with the assistance of the department lead.</strong></li><li><strong>Implement and maintain Employee Safety and Disaster Plan procedures and manuals.</strong></li><li><strong>Assure compliance with OSHA and Workers&rsquo; Compensation programs.</strong></li><li><strong>Distribute all necessary communication materials with staff, including policy changes, relevant information discussed at meetings, and client feedback.</strong></li><li><strong>Mediate personnel grievance, documenting all reprimands and counseling meetings.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Operations</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Keep CVP management informed of all relevant issues regarding staff, client issues, premises or equipment needs, etc.</strong></li><li><strong>Respond to client concerns in a timely and appropriate manner. Resolve medical client complaints in partnership with the Lead Veterinarian and RDO</strong></li><li><strong>Implement marketing activities in partnership with CVP and the Lead Veterinarian.</strong></li><li><strong>Assure premises, physical plant and equipment are in safe, clean, and optimum working condition, including the scheduling of regular maintenance.</strong></li><li><strong>Assure compliance with all regulatory issues including radiation monitoring, business permits and licenses, and animal control ordinances.</strong></li><li><strong>Maintain, and when necessary, amend client education handouts.</strong></li><li><strong>Oversee inventory purchasing and management within budget guidelines.</strong></li><li><strong>Schedule and attend all required meetings, including staff meetings and the hospital leadership team meeting.</strong></li><li><strong>Administer the hospital&rsquo;s patient reminder system.</strong></li><li><strong>Oversee implementation of client wellness program and guidelines and monitor compliance in partnership with CVP.</strong></li><li><strong>Monitor the hospital email.</strong></li><li><strong>Manage the hospital practice management system.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Marketing</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Monitor, implement, and evaluate client communications (i.e., direct mail, signage, social media accounts)</strong></li><li><strong>Ensure that the marquee is updated with timely messages.</strong></li><li><strong>Responsible for leading the development of referral relationships with humane societies, pet stores, etc.</strong></li><li><strong>Attend community functions to build potential client base.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Financial</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Participate in the yearly budgeting process, monthly P&amp;L reviews and discuss weekly financial reports with the lead doctor. Proactively monitor financial progress of hospital, analyze results, and adjust, if necessary, to ensure all budget goals are achieved.</strong></li><li><strong>Partner with RDO to submit capital expense requests per CVP guidelines.</strong></li><li><strong>Verify accuracy of vendor statements and match appropriate invoices to statements</strong></li><li><strong>Prepare the weekly CVP Business Package.</strong></li><li><strong>Responsible for managing the bi-weekly payroll process.</strong></li><li><strong>Oversee daily cash, check deposits, and manage local banking relationships.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>In addition, the Practice Manager may work scheduled shifts during which he or she will be responsible for providing client service and/or direct patient care.</strong></p><p><strong><br>&nbsp;SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES<br>&nbsp; The Practice Manager is responsible for managing all hospital team members.</strong></p><p><strong><br>&nbsp;REQUIRED EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE<br><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">&nbsp; 4+ years Hospital management experience especially in &nbsp;Emergency/Specialty &nbsp;preferred</span></strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;College preferred.</strong></p><p><strong><br>&nbsp; CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS<br>&nbsp; Certification in Veterinary Practice Management preferred.</strong></p><p><strong>Community Veterinary Partner&#39;s mission is to bring joy to families by providing the best care possible for the pets they love.
