As part of the Academic Team the teacher, in collaboration with the DoS sets individual learning and development goals and actively seeks opportunities to further develop teaching practice. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Key Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Establishes a positive learning environment for all learners, ensuring that they feel supported in their learning and able to take risks with language.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Creates lessons that are motivating and engaging with a focus on learning and progress.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provides feedback and support that encourages the learners to develop both their language skills and their learning autonomy.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Completes all administrative duties in a timely manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Works in the school team and the teaching team in a professional manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Takes an active interest in self-development and creates and achieves development goals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Participates in in-company and industry events and trainings and promotes and facilitates best practice through active collaboration with other EC teachers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Complete class administration in a timely manner, including: Records of Work, student attendance, Student assessment reports</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Set and mark homework and tests according to the EC assessment rubrics</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provide students with focused tutorials.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Encourage students on academic contracts and improvement plans through monitoring and support.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Attend staff meetings and training sessions as directed by the Director of Studies</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Seek feedback from students, peers and manager</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Set development goals in conjunction with the DoS based on observations, feedback and individual areas of interest.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Follow the directives in the employee handbook and teacher manual</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provide occasional substitute coverage</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Participate in internal CPD events</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Assist Director of Studies in piloting new materials and programs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Conduct peer observations</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Education Required:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any field</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">TEFL certificate (including teaching practicum CELTA/Trinity equivalent preferred)</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Experience Required:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver high quality language lessons</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Demonstrated ability to work with new technologies for teaching and administration</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\">Experience Desired:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Experience studying or working abroad</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
