The Hatchery team is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our hatchery departments – Broodstock, Live Feeds, Larval Rearing, and Nursery.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Duties &amp; Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Monitor &amp; respond to the condition of fish/live feeds.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Prepare &amp; dispense feed per plan.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Collect/harvest eggs and live feeds.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Clean filters, systems and tanks, including working with chemicals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Handle fish, requiring getting into tanks.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Monitor water quality and minor mechanical and electrical systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Adhere to biosecurity protocols.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Collect and record management data and enter into computer databases.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Count, sample, assess fish, rotifer, and artemia.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Feed larval fish and monitor larvae condition.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Respond to hatchery alarms when assigned on-call.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">What You'll Bring</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">BS in Aquaculture or 2 years of experience with aquaculture systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Knowledge of aquaculture systems &amp; fish husbandry including laboratory protocols.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Ability to follow and communicate technical instructions and safety procedures in oral and written formats.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Valid driver’s license.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Ability to consistently lift 50lbs, climb 4ft into tanks, and work in a sunny, hot and humid environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Ability to follow and communicate technical instructions and safety procedures in oral and written formats.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d\">Legally authorized to work in the United States.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(186, 55, 42)\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We are unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.</span></span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><br></span></span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em>We embrace diversity and equal opportunity.  Blue Ocean is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, or other legally protected status.  We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.</em></span></span></p>",
