With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Joby is seeking a skilled Flight Test Aircraft Maintenance professional with experimental and R&D aircraft experience to support new and novel aircraft flight test programs. In this role, you will directly contribute to the hands-on execution of aircraft maintenance, inspections, and ground operations to ensure the airworthiness and safety of our experimental fleet.</p>\n<p>Working in a dynamic, fast-paced flight test environment, you will collaborate closely with engineering and flight operations teams, executing technical tasks with precision. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Base Manager, this position requires frequent domestic and international travel to support active flight test sites. This position is based in Yuma, AZ</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform complex scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on experimental flight test aircraft strictly adhering to company procedures, engineering drawings, and maintenance manuals</li>\n <li>Conduct detailed pre-flight, post-flight, and periodic aircraft inspections to ensure safety and flight readiness</li>\n <li>Remove and replace advanced airframe, powerplant, and high-voltage electrical components</li>\n <li>Perform aircraft launch and recovery operations, including ground handling, towing, and serving as a ground observer</li>\n <li>Participate actively in Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) in accordance with company guidelines</li>\n <li>Accurately complete and maintain all required maintenance logs, records, and documentation in accordance with established company and FAA procedures</li>\n <li>Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate critical ground support equipment (GSE)</li>\n <li>Provide feedback and technical insights to engineering teams to help continually develop and refine maintenance manuals and supporting documentation</li>\n <li>Work in a safe manner in strict accordance with established operating procedures, observing all aviation laws and safety regulations</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate</li>\n <li>5+ years of experience performing hands-on maintenance and inspections on aircraft</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents</li>\n <li>General working knowledge and proficiency with standard hand tools and precision measuring equipment</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal and basic computer skills to communicate effectively within a collaborative team environment</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, handle extended hours when necessary, and adapt to a dynamic flight test schedule</li>\n <li>Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 50% of the time</li>\n <li>Valid passport with no travel restrictions</li>\n <li>Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day</li>\n <li>Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands</li>\n <li>Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 50 pounds</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position must meet US export control compliance requirements, therefore a candidate must qualify as a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15. “US Person” includes US Citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.</strong></p>\n<h2>Desired</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with complex logistics and shipping operations</li>\n <li>Experience with hydrogen storage and powerplants or other novel propulsion technologies</li>\n <li>Familiarity with electronic aircraft maintenance management (ERP) systems</li>\n <li>FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Information</h2>\n<p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).<strong> </strong>The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.</p>\n<p>Joby also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with a company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and more.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Joby is an Equal Opportunity Employer</strong></p>",
