At Bay West, you&#39;ll be driven to innovate and make a real impact on environmental issues, all while advancing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">This Opportunity</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">This position is contingent upon contract award and is expected to be based in <strong>Hawthorne, Nevada</strong>.</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Bay West is seeking a qualified UXO III supporting explosive safety and munitions response operations.</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><em>Compensation details will be shared upon contract award.</em></span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">Your Key Responsibilities</span></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Ability to handle in a safe manner the vehicle assigned to drive within and in the vicinity of the site</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">On-the-job training including, but not limited to, familiarity with the process, procedures, and equipment used for conducting MEC-related activities</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Supervise and perform the on-site demilitarization of munitions of explosive concern (MEC), and handling of demolition materials</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Inspect and certify and/or verify Material Potentially Presenting an Explosive Hazard (MPPEH) as safe, or as to the explosive hazard it may present for transfer within Department of Defense (DoD) or release from DoD control per current policies and standards</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Willingness to work overtime, variable schedules, and/or rotating shifts as required</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Proficient in basic computer applications and capable of operating standard office equipment</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information in both routine and emergency situations</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a safety-critical environment</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety footwear, gloves, and eye protection, and work in compliance with environmental and safety regulations</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform essential job functions, including participation in drills, contingency operations, and emergency response activities</li><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Other duties may be assigned</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">Who You Are</span></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left: 0in; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Graduate of a qualified Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) school with at least eight years combined military and commercial UXO experience.
