For additional information, click here.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline. Required</li>\n <li>Active membership in construction associations or organizations. Required</li>\n <li>Master's Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline. Preferred</li>\n <li>Formal coursework in education. Preferred</li>\n <li>Doctorate Earned Doctorate in a related discipline. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified Professional Constructor or other industry certification. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in construction management computer applications. Required</li>\n <li>Four (4) years of professional experience in the management of construction projects. Required</li>\n <li>Ten (10) years of professional experience with a Masters Degree with a minimum of 7 years in commercial, heavy/civil and/or individual sectors is preferred. Preferred</li>\n <li>Two (2) years of professional teaching experience in an accredited construction program at the college/university level. Preferred</li>\n <li>Experience in managing heavy-highway/civil projects. Preferred</li>\n <li>Experience in multiple construction management areas including but not limited to: estimating, purchasing, negotiating, engineering, and jobsite management. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ABILITIES AND SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Organizational and planning skills. Required</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Instruct theory and lab classes and evaluate student performance in the full spectrum of construction management skills including scheduling, estimating, productivity, cost control, planning, supervision, surveying, project management, safety, MEP, construction documents, structures, and project development.</li>\n <li>Advise, schedule, and maintain accurate records on students.</li>\n <li>Write and update course syllabi; assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.</li>\n <li>Assist the Dean and Accreditation Coordinator with program accreditation activities.</li>\n <li>Engage in professional development and technological upgrading activities.</li>\n <li>Contribute to the betterment of the College through school/departmental committee participation.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate written records of student performance.</li>\n <li>Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.</li>\n <li>Assume responsibility for laboratory development, coordination and maintenance.</li>\n <li>Comply with College safety, hazardous waste disposal, and recycling policies.</li>\n <li>Assist the Dean and Department Head in developing instructional material lists, equipment specifications, department budget requests, and assist in planning and development of the master schedule.</li>\n <li>Provide coordination and supervision for instructional field trips, and work projects.</li>\n <li>Attend school, department, and construction management curriculum meetings as requested.</li>\n <li>Assist in providing tours, school visits, and student recruitment activities scheduled by the College, school, and/or department.</li>\n <li>Assist the Dean, Assistant Dean, and/or Department Head with the development, documentation, and maintenance of student and institutional outcomes assessment activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Contribute to the betterment of the College through College-wide committee participation.</li>\n <li>Assist in the development of grant proposals and follow-up activities.</li>\n <li>Provide advisement and oversight to student organizations including construction-related student organizations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Standards and Special Job Features</h2>\n<p>None</p>\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>Commensurate with credentials submitted as applied to the College’s Faculty Salary System. As a point of reference, the salary range for new full-time faculty hired in various disciplines throughout the College for the 2023/24 academic year is $60,563 – $78,407.The wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment for full-time teaching faculty, counselors and librarians (all regular College funded positions and certain grant/contract funded positions) are determined by the negotiated Agreement between Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Penn College Education Association. If you are currently receiving an annuity from the State or Public School Employees’ Retirement System, employment at Pennsylvania College of Technology may affect your annuity status.
