    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Employment Type: </span>Purchase of Service, As Needed</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This position is not for a specific existing vacancy</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Immigrant Services Guelph Wellington, Guelph Community Health Centre, and the County of Wellington have collaborated in the development of a resource pool of interpreters/ translators who are contracted to provide our organizations with interpretation/translation services.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are currently looking for skilled interpreters to provide service in the following languages:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amharic</li>\n<li>Arabic</li>\n<li>Cantonese</li>\n<li>Dari</li>\n<li>Farsi</li>\n<li>French</li>\n<li>Hindi</li>\n<li>Khmer</li>\n<li>Nepali</li>\n<li>Spanish</li>\n<li>Tigrinya</li>\n<li>Vietnamese</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>If you are an enthusiastic professional with impeccable language skills in both English and another language, ILSAT or CILSAT Certified and are looking for a flexible work schedule, we would love to hear from you.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Successful candidates will be contracted by any of the three organizations, when the organization has an internal requirement or external request for interpretation or translation services. As a contracted interpreter/translator you will be providing support to our staff in the completion of their work, or to assist other organizations with their interpretation or translation needs.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess certification via Community Interpreter Language and Interpreting Skills Assessment Tool (CILSAT) or Interpreter Language and Skills Assessment Tool (ILSAT).</li>\n<li>Must possess fluent language skill in at least one other language. Current priority languages are listed.</li>\n<li>Previous interpretation/ translation experience is an asset.</li>\n<li>Must possess excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.</li>\n<li>Must be well presented, client focused, and be a dedicated team player.</li>\n<li>Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to a strict code of professional ethics for interpreters.</li>\n<li>Successful candidates must complete and submit a Vulnerable Sector police background check (at your expense).</li>\n<li>Must be eligible to work in Canada, and be available for face to face appointments in the Guelph community and surrounding areas.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Interested in Obtaining Training for your ILSAT/ CILSAT Certification?</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Immigrant Services Guelph Wellington is working with Conestoga College to offer accelerated classes in the Guelph area.
