Epsilon is privately held by its Principals, who are experts in their fields and work side-by-side with staff of all levels on complex, high-profile and interesting projects.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">POSITION SUMMARY</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Epsilon is seeking a full-time project scientist or engineer to work as part of the Epsilon team on a wide range of environmental licensing, permitting and compliance projects. This hybrid position will encompass work primarily in the Acoustics Group in our Maynard, MA office location.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">In the Acoustics Group, the successful candidate will perform project management, mentor junior staff, assist with community sound level measurement programs, meteorological data collection, data analysis, shadow flicker analyses for wind turbines, sound level modeling, and report preparation. This position requires occasional fieldwork as well as overnight, out-of-state travel.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The ideal candidate will have:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· 3-7+ years of experience in a consulting environment,</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· B.S. or B.A. in Acoustics, Engineering, Environmental or Physical Sciences, or Physics,</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Experience in using sound level measurement and meteorological equipment,</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Experience with ISO 9613-2 sound modeling software (i.e. CadnaA, SoundPLAN)</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Proficiency with Microsoft Office</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Superior written and verbal communication skills, and</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Ability to work cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary project team</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The successful applicant will also have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, and have project management experience. Experience presenting technical material to clients,</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">agency staff and/or regulatory boards, using programming languages (i.e. Python) is a plus. Experience in noise control engineering and/or in the energy industry is preferred.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">In addition to the Preferred Qualifications, the Candidate must have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle for business travel, including proper insurance and registration, and have all necessary paperwork to work in the USA.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>SALARY RANGE</span></span></p>\n<p><span>Epsilon's pay range for this position is $70,000-$105,000 USD per year. Pay within this range is commensurate with experience and other job-related factors including but not limited to credentials, skill, and geographic location.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Candidate must:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Be able to work safely outside in variable weather conditions for an extended period of time, as necessary,</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Work on a computer for extended periods of time,</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Be able to travel outside of the state via plane or car, for an extended period of time, and</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">· Be able to carry approximately 50 pounds on either paved paths, trails, or in fields.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">WORKING CONDITIONS IN WHICH THE DUTIES ARE PERFORMED</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Epsilon maintains a professional office located in a historic mill in downtown Maynard, MA.
