The Engineer will be responsible for assisting with developing technical design solutions for flammable and combustible liquids fueling systems throughout the design and construction phases. In this role, the Engineer will work with our multi-disciplinary design team to deliver projects in the aviation, automotive, and related fueling systems markets.</p><p><strong>Position Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain assigned budgets and schedules.</li><li>Apply problem-solving techniques and tools to enhance project deliverables.</li><li>Understanding of applicable fire and environmental codes, standards, and regulations.</li><li>Implement and oversee quality assurance protocols to maintain the quality of engineering outputs. Conduct reviews and audits of project deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and integrity.</li><li>Champion safety protocols and risk management practices throughout project lifecycles. Analyze potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent accidents and operational failures.</li><li>Understanding flammable and combustible liquids systems relative to: Aviation Fueling Systems, Automotive Fueling Systems, Heating Oil Systems, and/or Emergency Generator Systems.</li><li>Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including management, clients, regulatory bodies, and project teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding project progress and issues.</li><li>Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.</li><li>Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills/Education/Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum bachelor&rsquo;s degree in mechanical, environmental, or industrial engineering or other similar degree.</li><li>Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience working on engineering projects.</li><li>Willing to pursue PE license.</li><li>Understanding of flammable and combustible liquids engineering principles, methodologies, and tools.</li><li>Ability to analyze engineering problems and develop effective solutions.</li><li>Knowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental laws.</li><li>Ability to understand sequence of operation processes with P&amp;IDs.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical information to non-technical stakeholders and writing detailed reports.</li><li>Efficient in; Bluebeam (or other PDF reader), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.</li><li>Preferred experience in; AutoCAD, and/or Revit.</li></ul><p><strong>Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits</strong></p><p>$80,000 - $90,000/year*</p><p><em>*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.</em></p><p>Learn about our comprehensive&nbsp;<a href=\"https://www.cscos.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Comprehensive-Benefits_2024_rev.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" data-pasted=\"true\">Benefits</a></p><p>WHO WE ARE: C&amp;S Companies is a national planning, design, and construction firm with more than 600 employees and growing.
