The Position
The Participant Coordinator is responsible for completing intake at program entry to ensure all participant documentation has been retrieved and program standards have been explained. The Participant Coordinator is responsible for providing support and advocacy through crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and linkage to social service resources. This position will provide general front desk support and coverage, perform clerical and administrative duties such as answering phones, managing sign in sheets and generating incident reports. In addition, this position will assist with daily living needs and monitor daily activity to ensure the cleanliness of the facility and safety of both staff and participants.
What You'll Do
Coordinates with and supports participant’s assigned Housing Navigator/Case Manger to achieve participant’s housing goals, acting as a liaison between Interim Housing and Housing Navigation
Provides conflict resolution and crisis intervention by encouraging positive methods for problem solving and using restorative justice practices
Provides accurate and thorough communication and documentation about all incidents involving participants and complete necessary incident reports
Collaborates with Mental Health Specialists and co-located staff on site
Remains knowledgeable on best practices and interventions related to Domestic Violence, Harm Reduction, Trauma Informed Care and Housing First Models
Checks participant items for contraband at entry to the site as necessary
Completes intake with participant upon entry into site, as needed
Completes and submits daily occupancy reports as necessary and required per contract
Assists with identified housing plan tasks as necessary
Answers incoming calls, emails and responds to program and participant inquiries
Performs daily room checks and support to facilitate room changes
Light cleaning duties to ensure that the site is presentable and habitable
Completes daily documentation, maintains case notes and service entries in HMIS, and completes occupant reports as needed
Maintains daily provider sign-in sheets and occupancy standards
Coordinates cleaning/laundry schedule for participants
Sorts and distributes participant mail
Participates in site and community meetings, attends monthly PC meetings, and training opportunities
Contacts emergency services in collaboration/consultation with supervisor when necessary
Hourly walk around grounds to ensure safety
Submits maintenance requests and supply orders, as needed
Assists in facilitating volunteer activities/events, as applicable
Schedule flexibility (day, swing, overnight) and site location flexibility (multiple sites)
Additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
