This hybrid role, based in Nashville, TN, is ideal for a seasoned engineer with deep expertise in <strong>Palo Alto firewalls</strong>, <strong>F5 load balancing</strong>, and modern <strong>cloud networking solutions</strong>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Edge Network Architecture & Engineering</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, implement, and maintain secure edge network architectures supporting on‑prem and cloud workloads.</li>\n <li>Engineer and support <strong>Palo Alto Networks</strong> firewalls, Panorama, GlobalProtect, and advanced security services (App‑ID, Threat Prevention, URL Filtering).</li>\n <li>Manage and optimize <strong>F5 BIG‑IP</strong> platforms including LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, and APM modules.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Cloud Networking & Hybrid Connectivity</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Architect and support cloud networking solutions across <strong>AWS, Azure, or GCP</strong> (VPCs, VNets, Transit Gateways, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers).</li>\n <li>Implement secure hybrid connectivity solutions such as site‑to‑site VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, or SD‑WAN.</li>\n <li>Ensure consistent security and routing policies across multi‑cloud and on‑prem environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Security, Performance & Operations</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and enforce network security standards, segmentation strategies, and zero‑trust principles.</li>\n <li>Monitor and troubleshoot complex network, firewall, and load‑balancing issues.</li>\n <li>Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and root‑cause analysis.</li>\n <li>Automate network operations using scripting or infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Collaboration & Leadership</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Partner with security, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives.</li>\n <li>Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and escalation support for junior engineers.</li>\n <li>Participate in on‑call rotation and support critical incident response.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>7+ years of hands-on experience</strong> in enterprise network engineering.</li>\n <li>Strong expertise with <strong>Palo Alto Networks</strong> firewalls and security platforms.</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>F5 BIG‑IP</strong> load balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM).</li>\n <li>Experience designing and supporting <strong>cloud networking</strong> in AWS, Azure, or GCP.</li>\n <li>Deep understanding of routing, switching, DNS, SSL/TLS, and network security principles.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with automation and scripting for network operations.</li>\n <li>Strong troubleshooting skills in large-scale, mission-critical environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Industry certifications such as:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Palo Alto (PCNSA, PCNSE)</li>\n  <li>F5 (CA, CTS)</li>\n  <li>Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Experience with SD‑WAN technologies.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with zero‑trust architectures and modern security frameworks.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting containerized or microservices environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What do we offer</h2>\n<p><strong>In exchange for your expertise, HireRight offers an excellent employee benefit package which includes:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical</li>\n <li>Dental</li>\n <li>Vision</li>\n <li>Paid Life/AD&D Insurance</li>\n <li>Voluntary Life Insurance</li>\n <li>Short & Long Term Disability</li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts</li>\n <li>401K</li>\n <li>Generous Vacation and Sick Program</li>\n <li>10 Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Education Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Business Casual Attire</li>\n <li>Generous Referral Program</li>\n <li>Employee Discounts and Rewards</li>\n <li>And much more!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>*All resumes are held in confidence.
