    "description": "<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><strong>JOB TITLE:               </strong>Police Officer/Lateral <strong><br>DEPARTMENT:       </strong>Hualapai Police Department</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><strong>CLASS:                      </strong>Regular, Full Time, Non-Exempt  <strong></strong></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><strong>SALARY:                   </strong>$63,356/Yr. to $79,123/Yr. <strong></strong></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><strong>OPENING:                 </strong>Continuous <strong></strong></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><strong>CLOSING:                 </strong>O.U.F </span><strong></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\">Under general supervision maintains law and order within the boundaries of the Hualapai reservation; investigates suspicious situations and takes appropriate action; responds to all calls concerning emergencies such as traffic accidents, confrontations, altercations and disorderly conduct; performs such assignments as working radar on highways, operate night surveillance, coordinate traffic and crowd control activities; uses breath-analyzer to determine degree of intoxication of drivers; operates other technical equipment which calls for fully developed police skills; performs investigative work such as investigation of misdemeanors and felony crimes, traffic accidents involving property damage or personal injury or incidents of alleged or suspected burglary or vandalism.<span>  </span>Performs other work duties as required. </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><strong>EMPLOYMENT DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•         </span></span><strong><span> </span></strong><span style=\"color: black\">High school diploma or GED<span>  </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•          </span></span><span style=\"color: black\">Valid Arizona driver license </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•          </span></span><span style=\"color: black\">Pass an MVR screening </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•          </span></span><span style=\"color: black\">Must be 21 years of age or older </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•         </span></span>1 Year as a AZPOST / IPA Certified Police Officer</p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•         </span></span>Pass the Police Officer Physical Aptitude Test (POPAT) prior to appointment</p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•         </span></span>Must have and maintain a clean record, with no convictions of felonies, or misdemeanors within three years       prior to application, or crimes against persons and domestic violence</p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•         </span></span>Must have excellent communication, written and verbal skills, be organized and punctual with the ability to follow written guidelines and procedures</p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•         </span></span>Able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with employees and community members</p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•         </span></span>Pass a complete background investigation that meets the standards set in Arizona Administrative Code Title 13, Public Safety Chapter 4. APOST R-13-4-106</p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black\"><span>•         </span></span>A Polygraph examination will be required for all applicants.
