YDPs steward a climate that is inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive.</span></p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">This is a seasonal summer position. The Youth Development Professional (YDP) is expected to work the scheduled program hours throughout the summer program.</span></p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Attends mandatory Professional Development Days once a month.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Assist in daily cleaning of program spaces.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">As Mandated Reports, all BGCSA staff will be responsible for reporting any suspected physical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse of youth to the authorities and Child Protective Services.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Responsible for youth safety and promptly document any medical and/or behavioral issues.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Provides positive, informal guidance and mentorship while supervising a group of (20) elementary, middle, or high school students</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Guide students through fun, hands-on learning and social recreation activities, including art (music, theater, visual arts), STEM, games, sports, and more!</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Implements Boys &amp; Girls Club curricula based on existing or new programs to create a high-quality club experience.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Effectively run programs, services, and other activities for members, community, and family engagement opportunities.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Promotes and stimulates membership and participation in activities in the club.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Responsible for classroom management and maintenance by ensuring safety and youth engagement.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Efficiently utilizing social-emotional skills to identify and address behavioral issues and notify management of any escalating issues.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Effectively implements and promotes techniques of conflict resolution &amp; de-escalation with youth.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Engages and supports volunteers who assist with the implementation of program activities.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Establish positive relationships with all stakeholders, including youth, parents, volunteers, schools, and community partners.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Takes responsibility for assigned equipment and supplies.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Assist in transporting youth after school and/or on field trips and ensuring all youth are supervised and accounted for.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Report any needed repairs and/or maintenance requests promptly.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n",
