With the power of many curious minds, together we can continue to solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><b>Role description:</b></p>\n<p>Arcadis has an immediate need for an Asbestos and Lead Inspector/Monitor on our Regulated Building Material and Industrial Hygiene team in the Los Angeles area.&nbsp;The role includes performing field work for asbestos and lead-related projects, such as inspections, abatement monitoring/oversight, air sampling and onsite analysis. Additional tasks may also include indoor air quality (IAQ)/mold investigations, building characterization assessments, and report writing.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The position requires candidate to have a valid state of California Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) asbestos credential and a valid state of California Lead Sampling Technician credential. The location will be based out of either our Los Angeles or Irvine offices, with project sites throughout the greater Southern California area and other western states. Project specific training will be provided by Arcadis, as needed.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><b>Role accountabilities:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Routinely interact/communicate with Arcadis’ project managers, and leaders; abatement contractors; consultants; and client personnel to ensure on time and satisfactory performance on projects.</li>\n <li>Manage and self-perform tasks associated with inspections/surveys and abatement monitoring for asbestos, lead, mold (water intrusion), IAQ, and other regulated building materials at a variety of facilities including but not limited to: commercial, public schools, financial, retail, industrial, chemical, manufacturing, oil/gas, electrical, etc.</li>\n <li>Provide detailed written and/or electronic project field notes, sampling summaries for work conducted.</li>\n <li>Travel to project locations in the greater Southern California area on a daily basis. Also, travel longer distances, with the potential for overnight stays, as required.</li>\n <li>Employees are expected to be flexible as work hours may include nights and weekends, or extended work beyond 8 hours depending on the project.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>The ideal candidate will have:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Problem-solving skills: able to identify problems and implement corrective processes.</li>\n <li>Strong communication, skills both written and verbal</li>\n <li>Ability to take ownership of assigned work and contribute to the success of the team. This includes the ability self-perform work, prioritize schedule, communicate with project team as needed, produce on time, high quality documentation and be responsive to phone and email requests</li>\n <li>The willingness to learn new digital technologies for field services&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment over the duration of a work shift</li>\n <li>Must be able to climb and descend a ladder</li>\n <li>A valid driver’s license, clean driving record is required.</li>\n <li>Must be able to clear background check, pass medical exam and be medically cleared to wear negative pressure respirator</li>\n <li>Ability to work on teams as well as independently with minimal direct supervision</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Position benefits include:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Full medical, dental and vision benefits - effective your first day of work!</li>\n <li>All travel expenses paid/ flexible working hours</li>\n <li>Paid holidays and 3 weeks of paid time off (PTO)</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</b></p>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in consulting environment with lead-paint, hazardous building materials management, indoor air quality, mold evaluations, and ventilation system assessments.</li>\n <li>State of California Certified Site Surveillance Technician</li>\n <li>State of California Lead Sampling Technician preferred</li>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>AS or BS in physical sciences or industrial hygiene, safety, environmental sciences, or related science or engineering fields, not required</li>\n <li>General understanding of HVAC systems, building mechanical systems, building construction</li>\n <li>General understanding of building renovation and demolition</li>\n <li>CDPH Lead Inspector, Assessor, or Project Monitor</li>\n <li>NIOSH 582 certification or equivalent certification</li>\n <li>OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER</li>\n <li>OSHA 30-hour Construction</li>\n <li>Experience with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">Continue your career journey as an Arcadian.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
