Responsibilities Adjunct faculty may be assigned a maximum workload of 24 contact hours or equivalent per academic year (i.e., fall and spring semesters). Classes within the program are offered in daytime, evening, and/or online modalities based on student demand. Develop course syllabi, assignments, and assessments that reflect current industry practices and ensure course outcomes are met. Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and promotes student success. Use technology and other resources to enhance course delivery and student engagement, including online, hybrid, or face-to-face modalities. Maintain accurate records of student’s progress and grades. Must adhere to mid-term verification and final grade posting deadlines. Adhere to institutional policies and procedures, including those related to academic integrity and accessibility. Course(s) to be taught : Applicant pool will be considered to teach one or more of the following courses based on qualifications: Aircraft Blueprint Reading – AVM 101 Aircraft Propellers – AVM 130 Aviation Physics – AVM 155 Materials and Processes – AVM 160 Aviation Safety, Rules and Regulations – AVM 201 Weight and Balance – AVM 209 Alternate Structures – AVM 215 Engine Electrical Systems – AVM 219 Hydraulic and Pneumatic Power – AVM 220 Airframe Inspection – AVM 223 Engine Air Flow Systems – AVM 225 Atmospheric Controls – AVM 227 Reciprocating Engine Overhaul – AVM 229 Engine Support Systems – AVM 235 Engine Fuel Metering and Operation – AVM 237 Turbine Engines – AVM 245 Qualifications Education Requirements : A valid FAA-issued Airframe (A), Powerplant (P), or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license. Experience Requirements : The equivalent of one (1) year’s full-time, non-teaching work experience (2000 hrs.) in the field. Preferred Experience : Exceptional applicants will meet one or more of the following preferred qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in aviation management or related discipline. The equivalent of five (5) years’ experience in the aviation maintenance industry. Organization The Career and Technical Programs provide programs of study that involve a multiyear sequence of courses that integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers.
